Across more than 10 million hall tickets, the client reported no bugs. On a public examination, with the exam date fixed and the candidate waiting, that number is the whole job.
How we built for the window
Demand for a hall ticket arrives in the days before a session, from every school at once, and the same infrastructure sits quiet in between. We built for the peak, not the average: the service is load tested against the largest session on record before each one, releases ship with zero downtime, and every session is watched live by the engineers who built it.
Late data is the other constraint. Candidate lists and format changes arrive close to the session, so the import and generation steps are built to be rerun safely, as many times as the data changes, without touching tickets already downloaded.
